In a nutshell - The Red Hook Houses are two connected public housing complexes located in Brooklyn, NYC. Long time Wu-Tang affiliates and members of Sunz Of Man, Hell Razah and Shabazz the Disciple try to further illustrate the everyday in one of NY's neighbourhoods with high crime, unemployment and poverty races.  Album works as a 'tour guide' and sets the serious tone all throughout the album.  The opening skit has both rappers attempting to get a taxi to take them to this neighbourhood from the airport, only to be initially denied because it's too dangerous. It takes 40 dollars and some additional negotiating for the driver to consent to head into the neighborhood, something that must be a common experience for the people who live there. Album is a decent example of story-telling on the issues of social disadvantages and segregation.
